Sobha Limited started operations as an Indian real estate and construction company on August 07, 1995, in Bengaluru. PNC Menon established the company which brought design, engineering, manufacturing and execution operations under one roof for delivering consistent project quality . Sobha operates in three business verticals: residential and commercial real estate, EPC contracts with institutional clients and manufacturing divisions for glazing and metal works, interiors and concrete products and retail business for mattresses and home interiors under the sub-brand metercube . The company operates in 27 cities across 14 states in India through its vertically integrated platform as of March 31, 2025.
The first residential project SOBHA Sapphire was completed in 1997 while ISO 9001 certification was obtained in 1998 and glazing and metal works started in 2000 with environmental and safety standard ISO certifications in 2009. The company gained listing in 2006 by conducting an IPO that received 126 times the amount of subscriptions . Sobha delivered 143.65 million square feet of projects since its inception and currently has 65.14 million square feet under construction across Indian cities (as of March 31, 2025).
