About Nestlé India Limited

 

Nestlé India Limited is a leading packaged foods company in India, incorporated on March 28, 1959. It manufactures and markets products across four broad groups—Milk Products and Nutrition, Prepared Dishes and Cooking Aids, Powdered and Liquid Beverages, and Confectionery—serving households nationwide through a strong distribution network and out‑of‑home channels . The Company’s legacy in the country spans “over 113 years,” reflecting a long-standing commitment to Indian consumers .

 

Operations are based entirely in India, with nine manufacturing facilities at Moga (Punjab), Choladi (Tamil Nadu), Nanjangud (Karnataka), Samalkha (Haryana), Ponda and Bicholim (Goa), Pantnagar (Uttarakhand), Tahliwal (Himachal Pradesh) and Sanand (Gujarat). A tenth factory is being set up in Odisha, with an initial investment of approximately Rs 900 crore, to manufacture products from the foods portfolio . The Company’s presence is PAN India across 36 geographies (28 States and 8 Union Territories), with exports to 25 countries . For financial reporting, its business operations are considered to be only in India, and it does not hold any assets outside India .

 

As on March 31, 2025, Nestlé India had 0 subsidiaries and one associate—Dr. Reddy’s and Nestlé Health Science Limited—formed to develop the nutraceutical business in India and Nepal . Key corporate milestones during the period include the sub-division of equity shares effective January 5, 2024 (from face value Rs 10 to Rs 1) and the laying of the foundation stone for the Company’s first factory in eastern India at Khordha, Odisha  .
