About the Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) is a Central Public Sector Enterprise incorporated in 1988 and a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). Headquartered in Mangaluru, Karnataka, MRPL is engaged in refining crude oil and marketing petroleum and petrochemical products. Its equity shares are listed on NSE and BSE.

The Company operates a single refinery and 12 offices in India, with no overseas plants or offices. Refining and marketing together account for 100% of its turnover. MRPL’s product portfolio includes High Speed Diesel (HSD), Motor Spirit (MS), Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Polypropylene, Benzene, Reformate, Bitumen, Sulphur, Xylol (Mixed Xylene), Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO) and Toluene. It also exports products such as ATF, HSD, Reformate, MS (92/95), Benzene, Naphtha and VGO.

MRPL has no subsidiaries but consolidates one jointly controlled entity in its financial statements—Shell MRPL Aviation Fuels and Services Limited.

As on FY 2024–25, the company achieved its highest-ever gross crude throughput of 18.18 MMT and multiple production records across MS, HSD, ATF, Benzene and Reformate/MS 95.
