Avadh Sugar & Energy Limited is a member of the K. K. Birla Group with roots dating back to 1932; it was formally established in 2015 through strategic mergers and demergers as a diversified sugar and bio-fuels enterprise engaged in sugar, spirits/ethanol, and co-generation, along with by-products such as molasses, bagasse and press-mud . The company operates four manufacturing units in Uttar Pradesh—Hargaon (Sitapur), Seohara (Bijnor), Hata (Kushinagar) and Rosa (Shahjahanpur) . As of March 31, 2025, capacities stood at 34,800 TCD (sugar), 325 KLPD (distillery) and 87 MW (renewable energy) . Operations are India-only, supported by a national footprint through wholesalers across six States; exports contribution is nil. The company maintains six plants and three offices domestically, and serves six States in India .
