“Active by Value” means the securities with a high trading turnover for a particular trading session. Thus, the stocks with the highest trading turnover are referred to as the most active by value. Just like volume is the number of shares traded in a particular session, value is the amount traded.
Who calculates stocks by value?
NSE India updates the stocks most active by value on a regular basis. Based on the amount, or value, transacted for each stock on a given trading day, the list of stocks with the highest traded value is cumulated.
